10/14/09 - Building Plan Review Service start looking at plans
10/15/09 - Structural and Architectural Plans Approved
10-19-09 - Plans sent to "Street use and Mapping"
10-20-09 - Put on hold Pending sidewalk encroachment drawings
10-25-09 - Submitted encroachment drawings
2/1/10 - Encroachment drawing "approved as noted"
2/11/10 - Encroachment drawing resubmitted
2/15/10 - City Changes its mind on encroachment. - Plans put on hold Pending 51% sign off from all neighbors within 120 feet of each corner of our lot.
3/9/10 - We get our 12th sign off (54%) from neighbors and submit to City
3/15/10 - Waiting for City to set Court Date to allow for neighbors to Protest
1 Year, 2 Months, and 6 Days Later - Still waiting for final approval.
What else can they throw at us?

Why would your neighbors protest? Noise?
Could be...
One neighbor refused to sign off because he didn't want to loose a street parking spot, and because of the noise.
Both are invalid reasons...
We will be adding an additional parking spot, and all the work will be done during the day during normal working hours...
But hey, invalid or not he can still complain to the city.
